Hi everyone,
As planned, over the weekend I begun the upgrades to Learscape Network to support the Learscape SERVER v3 when its released. I have upgraded the routers and connecting links to a high bandwidth and the ISP (internet Service Provider) is upping the upload speed again. Over the weekend I install the new server for learscape that will hold:
1. MySQL database (Holds usernames,passwords,user rights, skills, forum data)
2. vBulletin Forums (Forums for learscape)
3. Highscores webpage (Highscores display webpage - View your scores online)
4. Players online webpage (View the number of currently online players, including the names of those players.
5. Webclient (Play on the webclient before downloading the Standalone client. NOTE: Will be two versions behind the supported version to deliberatly force people to use the standalone client to reduce load on the server. It is just there so people can get started.)
MySQL, vBulletin & Highscores have been implemented and work. I will be implementing the Players Online and Webclient within the coming days.
